The Period one hundred isn’t the most thrilling speaker I’ve listened to - I
nonetheless have fond reminiscences of being blown away by the
Sonos Play:5 (now simply referred to as the Five) in 2015, and the Era 300 can also be
a delight. Surprisingly so - it’s significantly louder
than the One and the HomePod, and the Period 300 isn’t that a lot louder.

Placing two of them together naturally yields a a lot wider soundstage and brings out plenty of details that get erased whenever
you squish a stereo combine down to at least one channel.
When you have the One from 2017 or 2018, changing it with an Era a hundred will present better sound and more future-proof
internals. If you have a larger house or just want
elevated quantity and detail, I like to recommend getting two Era 100s and pairing
them in stereo. When you've got a big open flooring plan, you’ll most likely need
a couple audio system to cover the house quite than cranking a single, relatively small speaker to its limit.
